  1. How long should we allow for our group visit to Rock City?

    Please plan to allow 1 ½ - 2 hours for your group to explore Rock City.

  2. Do you have bus parking available?

    Yes, there is plenty of free bus parking available in the left-hand parking lot as you enter Rock City.

  3. How many people do we need to qualify for a group reservation?

    Discounts are available for groups with a minimum of 15 people by making an advance reservation and as long as one person pays for the entire group.

  4. How much notice should I allow when scheduling my reservation?

    Please allow at least 5 business days advance notice when planning your visit to Rock City and 10 business days advance notice when planning a catered event.

  5. Can my group enjoy a meal while visiting Rock City?

    Yes, we will be happy to cater your group meal.  Click here to view Group Menus [link to home>groups>meals].  Allow 10 business days advance notice when planning.  Your meal will be ready for you at a time specified.  Choose one menu per group please.

  6. How do we pay for our group?

    One group leader will need to pay for your group upon arrival.  If anyone chooses to pay separately they will need to pay the regular retail rate.  Group meals require a 50% deposit within two weeks of scheduling in order to reserve the space.

  7. What if we need to cancel our reservation?

    If you should need to cancel or reschedule a reservation just call us as soon as you can and let us know.  There is, however, a 50% meal cancellation fee for group catering if cancelled less than 3 business days before day of arrival.

  8. What if it rains on our parade?

    Rock City is almost always open rain or shine but we may have to close temporarily in the event of severe weather so you may always call us to check.  We do offer free ponchos on rainy days so you may explore the trail in rainy weather.

  9. What educational materials or programs do you offer?

    Click Educational Materials to download free educational information or call if you prefer to have the booklet mailed to you.

    Also, be sure to ask your reservationist about a schedule for our thrilling Rock City Raptors program held, seasonally, in the Critter Classroom.  Save Our American Raptors will teach you about and introduce you to these amazingly important birds.

  10. I would like to provide a little something extra for the kids in my group.  Are there extra activities available?

    Yes, be sure to discuss with your reservationist fun extras such as a 25-foot climbing wall, gemstone panning, group photos, and other seasonal activities.
